Time-sensitive opportunities are scattered.
People encounter promotions across brand sites, social feeds, newsletters, loyalty apps, and search. The information exists, but discovery requires knowing where to look before the moment expires.

People encounter promotions across brand sites, social feeds, newsletters, loyalty apps, and search. The information exists, but discovery requires knowing where to look before the moment expires.
HotDrop asks what is happening today, what is coming soon, and which major dates deserve attention. This makes discovery chronological instead of dependent on a specific brand or category.
The current prototype prioritizes useful discovery over a dense search experience. Food is prominent in the available data, but the product language and taxonomy already support shopping, beauty, fashion, retail, and other brand drops.
The global header provides identity and authentication. The Today page contains shortcuts, a featured national holiday, recurring daily deals, and upcoming major days. Calendar expands future browsing, while Saved Deals creates a personal authenticated state.
Each deal card surfaces timing, offer title, brand, short context, tags, and a clear Get Deal action. Major days use the same card grammar, which improves scanning and keeps the system consistent.

Users can move between months, select dates, and review deals attached to a specific day. The selected date also provides useful editorial context, such as the national promotional holiday for that day.

The deployed prototype loads live deal content, supports Today and Calendar navigation, provides month controls, displays tagged deal cards, links users to source brands, and routes Saved Deals through authentication.
Launch HotDrop prototype ↗The pink to purple gradient creates anticipation and identifies interactive moments. White cards protect legibility. Date badges anchor scanning. Tags communicate breadth, while consistent actions reduce uncertainty.
Saved Deals is authentication gated. The current Replit authentication flow still exposes an outdated product name and third-party interface elements. This is documented as a current limitation and is intentionally excluded from polished product mockups.
Current data leans heavily toward food promotions. Saved-deal behavior cannot be fully reviewed without authenticating. Legacy naming remains in the authentication handoff. Card imagery is limited, and content verification, expiration states, accessibility testing, and responsive refinements need deeper validation.
Next steps include completing the HotDrop authentication migration, expanding shopping, beauty, fashion, technology, and retail content, adding source verification and expiration handling, improving saved collections, and testing notification frequency.
